Issues with MSBuild mono 5.0

nikhil sehgal
Hi All,

I have my project is VS 2015 target framework 4.6.1 and it's building fine however when i try to build it with ms-build command prompt shipped with mono 5.0 it throws error as following .Please help

Issue No1 C:\Program Files\Mono\lib\mono\msbuild\15.0\bin\Roslyn\Microsoft.CSharp.Core.targets(71,5): error MSB3082: Task failed because "csc.exe" was not found, or the .NET Framework v4.0 is not installed.
ease install the .NET Framework v4.0. [C:\nikhil\test.csproj]

Issue no 2 :it stops automatically by displaying mono.exe has stopped working
A problem is caused the program to stop working correctly windows will close and notify if solution available

Re: Issues with MSBuild mono 5.0

About #1, it seems to be a PATH problem. Can you run csc from the same prompt you run msbuild and it doesn't find csc or gives some other error message?

Such 'prompt' link normally run a script to set the environment variables as needed prior to enter in interactive mode in the shell (cmd), and may not be setting all the variables correctly...

About #2, you need to provide more information. If you press the Debug but in that dialog, possibly you will go into some debugger that may present more details about the specific problem
